Outside the scope: consumable parts that ship new but wear with use (timing belt, water pump if supplied separately, sensors), and external components carried over from the original engine (turbo, injectors, harness, ECU, clutch, flywheel). Damage from overheating, contaminated fuel or fitting outside manufacturer specifications remains the responsibility of the party commissioning the fit.
